First of all, it’s dangerous af. You have to pay very close attention and can’t really look away. Even if you do your part, there’s no assurance that others on the road will do the same, so you gotta be extra defensive. The most you can multi task is listening to music or a podcast. It’s basically wasted time. On a plane or a train, I can just zone out and read manga or even just play video games On top of that, chances are that if you’re driving anywhere worth going, there’s going to be traffic and it’s going to be a pain to find parking when you get there. You will probably have to park far away if you don’t wanna pay, and then you have to walk all the way back to your car And roads are just so fucking ugly. Walking or biking in a city is very pleasant comparatively to being on a gigantic multi lane highway full of billboards. Some trains are unbelievably scenic And I just hate the responsibilities associated with driving. Can’t drive too fast because you might get pulled over, and I never wanna deal with a cop. Obviously, you can’t do any substances and drive. You can be mildly drunk and walk home safely, or take a subway, so it’s more fun
