Why is stating women are less capable than men in some sports controversial?
No gotcha or point being made, just honestly perplexed. Just to use soccer as an example, a commissioner got in trouble for stating the women in the women's only league are less capable (at soccer) than the men playing in an open league. This seems to me an obvious truth, and I don't know what someone would gain from disputing it. If it's not true, then that'd mean there is no need for a separate gender restricted league, and there should just be a single open league. Which in some sports should have already happened or has happened (like car racing). But presumably advocates for the women's only league believe that in some sports, if the league didn't exist then women wouldn't be able to play professionally in that particular sport. So, why argue against this statement? Isn't doing so implying they think there shouldn't be a gender restricted league for that sport?

Have we lost the sports debate?
I once went to an LGBT meeting which had a few trans guys, a few trans women, and a few cis people and we were discussing trans issues, I brought up sports and literally everyone (including the trans people) yelled at me and talked about how trans women do have an advantage and should not participate in women's sports. My therapist who is extremely pro-LGBT and has gotten me through tough times in my life was also against trans women participating in sports, but ended up saying "its okay, we don't have to agree on everything" which made me feel a lil better. I have many online friends who are part of the LGBT community and everybody except the transfems is skeptical or against trans women participating in women's sports, including my best friend too. I've also looked through reddit communities of supportive western-european countries and whenever it came to trans women in women's sports, the most upvoted answers were the anti-trans ones and the most downvoted ones were the pro-trans on

Political MegaThread: Trump signs executive order banning transgender athletes from women's sports
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday banning transgender athletes from participating in women's sports, fulfilling a promise that was at the center of his 2024 campaign. The order will establish sweeping mandates on sex and sports policy and will direct federal agencies, including the Department of Justice, to interpret federal Title IX rules as prohibiting the participation of transgender girls and women in female sports categories, according to a White House document on the executive order obtained by ABC News.

LeBron getting on the 1st team All-NBA team this year is very possible
SGA, Jokic, and Tatum are looking like locks. Giannis is close to being ineligible due to games missed. So that leaves 2 spots for Lebron, Anthony Edwards, KAT, Brunson, or Mitchell. Out of those players, Lebron is having the best statistical season. Mitchell is having an excellent season and his team is rolling….Edwards is putting up great stats also and the Wolves are playing better…. so I can see a 1st team of SGA, Jokic, Tatum, Mitchell, and the last spot going to LeBron or Edwards.

Whats up with NBA jerseys being so long? How do i accurately figure out how to buy a jersey online in my correct size?
I really want to buy a Banchero jersey but I moved to Upstate New York and there really arent any stores here that readily sell NBA jerseys. Ive bought a few in the past online and I never ended up wearing them due to the length. I believe Ive seen suggestions that swingman jerseys are shorter because theyre not designed to be tucked in? I wear an adult XL in normal clothes and Im 5'7. Honestly any help is appreciated.

Kevin durant: "I think it’s more fun to complain about the nba than to actually watch it"
Kevin durant: "I think it’s more fun to complain about the nba than to actually watch it. Crazy, cancel all star weekend and let’s just give everybody a break since we’re so miserable around this time" Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant took to social media and called out people for all the issues with the All-Star Game. Durant suggested the NBA should even cancel the events since everyone was so miserable about it all. https://www.newsweek.com/sports/nba/suns-star-kevin-durant-calls-out-complaints-around-new-nba-all-star-format-2032326

Great work, Adam Silver. You replaced one shitty All-Star game
Absolute imbeciles, the lot of them. But since Adam Silver and the NBA needs some ideas on how to "improve" the All-Star game, here are some of my suggestions for future All-Star games. If a player misses a shot, they have to lick Adam Silver's bald head. If a player makes a shot, they still have to lick Adam Silver's bald head. No more 2 pt shots allowed. Any shot attempt inside the 3 pt line results in an automatic ejection. Reduce shot clock to 6 seconds. Increase the size of the ball to be bigger than the size of the rim. Make LaVar Ball the referee for the game. But give him a microphone and whistle that don't work. All players have to wear pink tutus and rollerblades. Replace the ball with Kevin Hart.
