What are everyone's thoughts on the current optimism on wallstreet?
I feel like no matter what news come up, the S&P goes up no matter what for the last months. Inflation is nowhere under control not where the Fed wants it but thanks to Jerome Powell talking about lowering rates in December ridiculous amounts of rate cuts were priced in throughout the last months. These have, however, been mostly priced out but current relatively high rates are probably about to stay for a while. Is anyone else weary wary about this situation? Inflation is still high, even higher in the last months if one annualizes them. It does not look as optimistic to me as current market trends seem to view the situation. I know, timing the market is super difficult or near impossible and I do not intend to do wait for a crash or a correction but I am more hesitant than I would usually be. I invest new money monthly, however, I am interested to hear what other people make of the current situation and with their cash positions.

Is Wallstreet Mastermind worth it?
i, I currently go to Michigan state university and I am a sophomore studying finance. I have a 3.96 GPA and I am actively involved in campus (on eboard of two associations), and had a summer internship my freshman year at a startup ETF company. I recently ran into wallstreet mastermind and have been giving investment banking a second thought. Since I am dead middle in the recruiting process and I have yet to even PREP for any technicals/behaviorals etc. I realistically do not have enough time for me to teach myself everything about IB for recruiting. I’m wondering if I should spend the 10k ish to have a quicker learning curve of IB and have a better chance of breaking into the industry. Ofc Sam mentions there is a money back guarantee if I don’t break in (I plan on having lawyers look through this in writing b4 signing anywhere). Please advice me on anything I’m stuck!

I listened to the few people here with 1 or 2 braincells and closed my calls at a loss and just bought shares instead. Here we go.

What if: TSLA crashes and Elon sinks from loans coming due
Would it not be the most glorious achievement of us apes to collectively sink the richest person in history? Obviously he’ll never be Broke broke, but maybe less than a billion to his name would be enough to humble him just a bit. Fun to imagine
